The journey began in 2012 when Adriana was accepted to study for a Ph.D. in Ethnomusicology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Miguel has been with Adriana since 2005 and decided to join her in this new chapter of her life. Once established in Hong Kong and with enough free time, they began working on their first compositions. That is how DeerMx was born in 2013. Since then, the duo has created their own space and microcosmos in the Hong Kong underground scene.<\/p>\r\n<p>DeerMx\u2019s music is a mix of trip-rock and industrial pop addressed with downtempo and orchestral elements.\u00a0\u00a0The band has performed in several countries across Asia, Europe, and America. They have been part of festivals such as Clockenflap, Soundrenaline, V-ROX, Wake Up Fest, Sonar HK, Canadian Music Week, Music Lane, Kansai Music, Sorte Firkant, and Mesa Music Fest, among others.\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Deer<\/span>\u00a0has released one album (There\u2019s No Future, 2019) and several EPs.
